Access the CDP Portal

To access the Portal, you will need to sign in to your CDP account. If you do not yet have an account, or if your account is not associated with an organization, you will first need to be linked to your organization in the CDP Portal. Your organization may be a company, a city, a state, a region or sub-national government, or other.

There are several ways to do this:

  • If you are already part of an existing disclosing organization, you can ask a colleague with access toinvite you as a team member.

  • If you have one, you can ask your Account Manager to set you up as a Discloser. Their contact information can be found in the 'Engagement Support' tile in your homepage.

  • If you have been added by a Requester, you will have received an automated email from mail@cdp.net that contains a unique invitation link with instructions on creating your account.

  • If you are the first user for your organization, you will need to complete theRegister to Disclose form when available. Please also refer to ourRegister to disclose article for additional guidance.

If you have received an invitation to access the CDP Portal, follow the steps below to register or sign in:

  1. Check your email for the invitation link. If you do not see the email, we advise you to check your junk or spam folder.

  2. Follow the ‘Go to Portal’ invitation link provided in the email.

    • New users will be directed to the ‘Create your account’ registration form.

    • Returning users with an existing account can sign in directly, provided their account is already associated with their organization’s CDP Portal account.

  3. Complete the registration form by entering your details, reviewing and accepting CDP’s Terms and Conditions, and then selecting ‘Register’ at the bottom of the page

  4. After completing registration or following the invitation link, you will then be taken to CDP’s ‘Sign in or sign up page’.

  1. Sign in using your email address and password to access the CDP Portal.

Troubleshooting: If you are unable to log in after all the steps previously listed, we advise you to check if your organization's firewall is blocking access. If so, you may need to reach out to your organization’s IT team to resolve this. Also, try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies and ensure you're using a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari). If the problem still persists, please contact our Customer Support Team for further assistance. When raising a case please select the category ‘Account/Organization Support’ and the subcategory ‘Trouble Signing In’ to ensure your case goes to the correct team.

First-time login

When you sign in to your Discloser account for the first time, you will see a ‘Welcome’ pop-up introducing CDP’s mission and a tutorial of the platform. You can choose to view or skip this tutorial.

After viewing the introductory video, as the first user in your organization’s Portal, a pop-up will appear asking whether you would like to continue as the ‘Submission Lead’ or as a ‘Contributor’ for your organization. Selecting ‘Review permissions’ and accepting CDP's Terms of Use and Terms of Disclosure will assign you the 'Discloser Submission Lead' role for the current disclosure cycle. For further information on these roles and their key permissions, please visit our Discloser roles article.

Once you have selected your role, you can begin completing the onboarding steps and then start disclosing on behalf of your organization.

Important: At least one of the users within your organization must hold the ‘Disclosure Submission Lead’ role to complete the onboarding process; further guidance can be found in our article on onboarding steps. Additionally, this Lead role is required to manage, review and submit all other stages of the disclosure cycle, please see the dedicated section on changing the Discloser Submission Lead in our ‘Discloser roles and managing team members’ article for additional information.
